Museo Civico di Palazzo Chiericati
Notice: The museum is currently undergoing renovations, so some services are not available yet or are only temporary (restrooms, cloakroom).
The chronological arrangement of the works currently extends to the 19th century, but will reach the 20th century upon completion of the renovations. The museum complex consists of three connected buildings (the Palladian Wing, the 20th-century Wing, and the "Giuseppe Roi" Wing).
Physical access:
The museum is accessed from the main staircase on three sides: the south and east sides have access via 7 steps, while the north side has two steps or a ramp with an 8% slope.
Museo Civico di Palazzo Chiericati is spread over 5 floors, 4 of which are accessible via 2 elevators (door 89 cm, interior 110x145 cm – door 88 cm, interior 120x144 cm) with Braille button panels and an audible signal when each floor is reached.
The basement is dedicated to temporary exhibitions; the three rooms to the north are connected to the main hall by a ramp with an 8% slope.
The chronological exhibition route begins on the ground floor and extends to the second floor, connecting two different buildings (the Palladian wing and the 20th-century wing), presenting works from the 13th to the 17th century.
On the ground floor, in the “Sala dei Lunettoni,” part of the room features a large ramp with an 8% slope.
On the second floor, the connection between the 20th-century and Palladian wings is achieved by a suspended walkway approximately 7 meters long and 125 cm wide, equipped with 105 cm-high glass parapets. The three rooms dedicated to "Collezione Giuseppe Roi", located in the north attic of the Palladian wing, are reached via the external loggia and are not accessible by elevator but via three flights of stairs, one of which has a handrail.
The teaching room is located on the ground floor, with an 80 cm wide door; its restroom has a changing table.
A quiet area with benches is in the connecting area between the 20th-century wing and the Palladian wing, before the suspended walkway.
The Main Hall, belonging to the exhibition path, is also a conference room with seating for 100 people.
The Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe [Prints and Drawings Cabinet], which can be visited upon request, is located in the southern attic of the Palladian wing. It consists of three rooms not accessible by elevator, but rather by three flights of stairs without handrails and two additional very high entrance steps (23 cm and 27 cm). A sink is located on the landing.
Toilets:
On the ground floor, after the entrance, there are two toilets for women, two for men, and an accessible restroom with a 90 cm door (the toilets are temporary due to restoration work).
The ground-floor teaching room has a women's toilet, a men's toilet, and a changing table in the anteroom.
