Museo del Risorgimento e della Resistenza
Physical access:
The Museum and the Villa Guiccioli park are located at the top of Ambellicopoli Hill (151 meters above sea level).
The entrance to the Museum and park is located on Viale X Giugno 115, accessible by SVT suburban bus line 06, which runs hourly from the station to Monte Berico and then to Zovencedo/Barbarano.
After passing through the entrance gate, the Museum can be accessed either via the stairs (two flights without handrails) or from the gravel road.
Persons with mobility disabilities can drive up to the museum entrance by car, subject to prior notification by email to museorisorgimento@comune.vicenza.it.
Two steps lead to the museum. Persons with mobility disabilities can access the museum through the side door, accessible via a designated bell.
The museum is spread over two floors connected by stairs or an elevator (90 cm door, 138 x 147 cm interior) with a standard button panel. The elevator reaches the first floor on the outdoor terrace, which is covered by a canopy for the short distance leading to the exhibition rooms.
The ground floor is all on one level, without steps or ramps, and houses the first and last rooms of the exhibition (From the Fall of the Venetian Republic to the Lombardy-Venetia and Fascism, World War II, Resistance).
The first floor houses rooms 2, 3, and 4 of the museum (The Risorgimento and the 1948 in Vicenza; Wars of Independence and the Kingdom of Italy; World War I). The rooms are connected by ramps with handrails and a 24% slope.
The auditorium is reached via a flight of stairs equipped with handrails. For those with mobility disabilities, it is accessible from the park, although there are a few steps to climb.
The offices, storage rooms, and library are located in the building on the left, accessible to the first floor via the elevator that also serves the Museum. The library is located on the second floor, but consultations can be done on the lower level.
The historic park, which covers approximately four hectares, features several paths with wide gravel and numerous benches.

Inside the Museum, the toilets are located in the basement, not accessible by elevator but by a flight of stairs with a handrail. There are three toilets for women and two for men.
