Information on the processing of personal data

Since its design, the institutional website of the Municipality of Vicenza intends to guarantee compliance with the principles established by EU Regulation no. 2016/679, relating to the protection of natural persons with particular regard to the Processing of Personal Data, without exception, as well as the free movement of such data, also in the public interest consistently with the right to transparency.

The Municipality of Vicenza guarantees interested parties the possibility of interacting with its institutional portal to freely use services of public interest.

With this information, in addition to describing the methods of use of the site, the Municipality of Vicenza intends to inform users and navigators who access the portal of the Municipality also regarding the processing of personal data and the related guarantees recognized by law, pursuant to art. 13 of the aforementioned “Regulation”.

This information is provided exclusively for the personal data contained in the website of Musei Civici di Vicenza and not for other websites that can be consulted by the user via external links present on the website itself and for which the Municipality of Vicenza is neither responsible nor joint owner.

Purpose of processing and lawful basis

Personal data are processed to fulfill the institutional obligations of the Municipality of Vicenza such as - by way of example - the regulation of information and communication activities of public administrations, accessibility of services and information and the implementation of the Digital Agenda resulting from the application of the Digital Administration Code.

The personal data provided by users will be processed consistently with the services offered by the Municipality of Vicenza through its portal, exclusively as a public authority in the execution of its institutional task.

Within the scope of these purposes, the processing also concerns data relating to registrations on the portal necessary for managing relations with the Municipality of Vicenza, as well as to allow effective institutional communication and to fulfill any legal, regulatory or contractual obligations.

Place and method of processing

Data are processed exclusively in the Italian territory by personnel trained, educated and authorized to lawfully process data according to the principles of correctness, lawfulness, transparency, relevance and non-excess with respect to the purposes of collection and subsequent processing.

The processing of data connected to the services offered by the institutional website of the Municipality of Vicenza occurs for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes set by users themselves, to whom all the minimum security (and confidentiality) measures are reserved to prevent the loss of data, illicit or incorrect use or unauthorized access.

The personal data provided by users who register or use the services of the website of the Municipality of Vicenza – such as name, surname, residence, telephone numbers and e-mail address – can be used for other processing operations in terms compatible with the purposes of collection, such as sending institutional and public utility or Civil Protection communication by e-mail.

The personal data of users who request documents or information material (newsletters, answers to questions, documents and provisions, etc.) are used only to perform the service or performance requested and are not subject to transfer or dissemination.

The use of automated processing or automated decision-making processes or aimed at profiling the user of the institutional website of the Municipality of Vicenza is not envisaged.

Type of data processed and recipients

The categories of data processed as well as the categories of recipients to whom the data refers are reported in the Data processing register available at the headquarters of the Municipality of Vicenza.

Retention period

The data will be retained for a period of time not exceeding the achievement of the purposes indicated above (“principle relating to storage limitation”, art. 5 of the EU Regulation) or based on the deadlines established by law.

International data transfer

The data is not transferred to third countries outside the European Economic Area.

Rights of the interested party

The rights of the interested party (ref. articles 15÷21 of the EU Regulation) can be exercised at any time and are summarized in the right to:

• access to personal data and obtain confirmation of the existence or non-existence of the same, to be informed on the origin, purposes and processing methods;
• obtain the updating and rectification of data without unjustified delay, including their integration;
• obtain the deletion of data;
• obtain the restriction of processing and communication of any revocation of the same;
• data portability;
• lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

The above without prejudice to the existence of legitimate reasons on the part of the Data Controller.
