The territory of the Berici area has been greatly affected by the presence and activity of humans, which for a long while have encouraged the establishment of new environmental conditions that are different from the original ones and the altering of natural equilibriums in the wild areas.Particular associations of plants and animals have however gained benefit from human modification of the environment.
Grasses that are particularly resistant to trampling can be seen here, such as plantain or plants widespread in lands enriched by organic waste like nettles or even animals that have greatly benefited from the presence of cultivated fields, such as the potato beetle or the green pentatomid bug.
